Pebble Time smartwatches are now shipping to users who backed the company’s latest creation via Kickstarter. But the bad news is that those early adopters will not be able to use their watch with an iPhone, after it emerged that Apple has yet to approve the device’s dedicated app.
A bug fix for the Pebble Time app was submitted to Apple on May 22nd, but since then Pebble has not heard anything from Cupertino’s approvals team.
To make matters worse, the current app for the original Pebble smartwatch can't be used with Pebble Time either.
That’s because that app is also being held up in the approvals process after Pebble submitted an update in April, meaning the smartwatch-maker is unable to add support for its new timepiece.
On its Kickstarter page, Pebble wrote: “This unexpected circumstance pains us as much it does backers with watches ready to set up.
